The apartments were clean. For the money spent cable tv Foxtel would be nice to keep the kids amused during down time. Otherwise if just want somewhere to crash it is OK. Staff are contactable by phone after hours which helps if you arrive between twilight hours. The sofa bed on the couch was unusable because of its age which meant sleeping wasn't easy for the person who got it (saggy mattress) however the normal beds were OK.
So if you book a room for 5 people ask for a sofa bed that doesnt droop or replace it with a normal bed. Pool is unheated (Brrrr!!) OK for summer not so good in winter months despite queensland sun being out in winter where people want to use the pool but cant as the chill needs to be removed. Apartments are not serviced during your stay only cleaned up for the next visitor. You take out your trash etc , if you are looking for service, fresh towels etc feeling pampered this isn't it!!
It was OK I ,no need to go back again.
The gold coast is a tourists haven of packages some which are obvious theme parks, O Rielly's was great and the rainforest superb, loved the tour. Especially being driven to the mountains after being exhausted by Movie world and Sea World. Eating out is expensive for families so pack your lunch. Did I mention the theme parks, kids loved them and parents become kids again so value passes are good, depending on how many parks you want to go to.
Loved the dolphin show at Sea Worls , 4D movies and wet'n'wild The Jet Stream rocked/ even Nanna went on this one!! Ice-creams a pop so for a family of 5 eating out watch out!! Using the freedom bus pass removes the stress of driving and locating places : Although local transit buses pretty much do the same thing its just that you may not get a seat on a public bus.
