The room is basic but nice and clean. The location is excellent (supermarket is under the building, bus stop is right in front and restaurants are all around). Our only main issue was related to the window blinds - they did not do a good job of blocking out the sun which comes up very early in QLD. We tried switching rooms to see if we could improve on this problem with the assistance of a very helpful concierge, but unfortunately the blinds were the same in every room.
The Korean BBQ restaurant next to the hotel has great food at reasonable prices. There is also a huge range of icecream shops in the area - be prepared to sample many different flavours. The buses run regularly and travel to most tourist as well as local suburbs. It is an ecxcellent way to get around, but beware of the many different zones. Before buying a daily ticket, you should work out all of the areas that you wish to visit for the day and make sure that your ticket includes all of the required zones.
