Room was ready on arrival at 7am which was awesome after an early flight. We had a 2bedroom apt on the 43rd floor, room was unbelievable, view was sensational. stayed at so many hotels and i must say the lifts at the Q1 were the best i have experienced in speed, never had to wait more than 3 seconds to get a lift and never spent more than 10 seconds in the lift to get from the ground floor to the 43rd.
only bad things experienced was our key not working after 4 attempts even when the front desk staff re programmed it, i had to ask him for a new key as it started to get a lil annoying. also the ensuite bathroom sink had a bad smell, was okay after leaving the hot water on for 10 minutes :)
The Q1 is close to everything and in walking distance. 99% of the people walking the streets are drunk, witnessed 5 fights/brawls whilst walking from the Q1 to cavill ave which is 10 minutes away, dont think very safe if travelling with kids. Nightlife was okay, must say the only place we really enjoyed was the level 77 bar deck at the Q1. We didnt know there was a bar up there till we walked past the entry and seen people goin up.
Downfall, for such a classy and beautiful bar with unbelievable views, this bar closes at midnight which was a shame.
