The Mantra Sun City hotel is a great hotel for a bucks holiday but also as a family destination as well only 10 minutes from Caville Ave in the heart of Surfers Paradise. The room was clean, spacious with glorious views from the 24 floor in a 3 bedroom Ocean View Room. There were a few disappointments during our stay from 5th Nov to 8th Nov including 1). The hotel had no idea I had already paid the full amount for the room 2).
They could not accommodate a request I made 2 months earlier to have 2 rooms near each other or at least on the same floor. We ended up having a room on the 24th floor and another on the 34th floor 3). You could only hire a DVD player for a full week not on a daily basis - bit of a rip off 4). Main (larger) waterslide on 2 of the 3 days was closed & not available. Overall would recommend the hotel to anyone but would still look into other hotels a little close to the main strip.
This is ideal if you are wanting to be in a quieter section.
