After an early morning start and a long flight we were thrilled when we arrived at Q1 Resort and opened the door to our apartment. It was definitely all that we had hoped for but way better than we expected. The room was very modern,extremely clean and well equipped and the view was to die for. When we opened the blinds on our gorgeous balcony and saw the view that we had of the ocean we were speechless.
Q1 is definitely one of the best places to stay as the bus goes past outside the front door and it is very easy to find when you are returning home as you can see it from everywhere so you never get lost. There is a tour desk in the foyer where you can make all your bookings and buy tickets for all the Gold Coast attractions. There are liquor stores, fast food shops and convenience stores all close by.
The main shopping area is only a few blocks away and the beach just a short walk. Our apartment was privately owned and rented via an Agent. Great value and easy to arrange. Perfect!
It was our first visit and we loved the Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise. It is very easy for tourists to get around and easy to arrange tours and visits to all the attractions as there are kiosks on each block selling tickets/tours at all hours. Great shopping, casual restaurants and the markets are great to find a unique gift/souvenir. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the theme parks are very easy to get to and very clean and well priced.
There were lots of families with small children and because we went in the off season the queues were short and everyone was very relaxed and friendly. We would definitely go back again as there was so much more to see and experience. I would recommend it for visitors of all ages.
