Our group was 2 adults and our child in a 2 bedroom apt. We arrived late (10pm) due to a flight holdup and were very happy to find our key and directions to our room in the safe box at reception. Our apartment on the third (top) floor overlooked the pool and was really nice and bright. It was a great location as we were away from heavy traffic noise but still an easy walk to the shops and beach – 7 minutes to Coles and bus at the end of the street.
We found the management to be very business like and efficient which we appreciated though they were low on the friendliness scale. That was ok. The one thing we didn’t like was the infernal motorised gadgets the handyman was using. Did he really have to clean the pool chairs with high pressure water at 7am every morning? Couldn’t a water trickle and a soft brush have worked as well? We like a little sleep in on holidays. The noisy 2 stroke leaf blower and hedge trimmer were a bad look as well. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay.
Surfers appeared to us to a pretty safe place to wander round at night although we'd be back at our apartment by 10pm. Great beach of course. The theme parks are close and fun. Lots of eating places. Watch the feral traffic (I'd like to see more traffic calming). A bit short on parks and gardens. Nice weather in September/October.
